I was wondering how one is supposed to be able to insert a photo in a reply to a topic when the attachment feature is nowhere to be found, and IE-8 won't allow me to drag-and-drop an image into the body of the message? Or am I just doing it all wrong?

There are no attachments as it took up too much band with you must have them hosted elsewhere and then put the image or link in from the menu on the top of the page... "Thank you and retry again" ... as I was told in a voice from India today.... 3moon by inetjoker, on Flickr From a trip I took years ago with a native American friend.

Speaking of posting photos here... Larry, now that they have changed Flickr, what do we place between the img brackets when posting here ? The link or the URL ? The interface on Flickr is different now. Thanks for your help on this !

Well, a link and a url are really the same thing. If you want to have an image show up within your response here on this site, you always have to use the URL that includes the filenmame to the JPG image. So the URL must end in .JPG. (This hasn't actually changed on flickr but where you get the URL has changed. It's now in the "Share" drop-down). But if you simply want someone to go to your flickr account to view a photo or photos, you would not put anything between the IMG tags, but would paste the URL to either the image page or your main flickr account page.

Well you bring your picture up on flickr then you click on share this one of the options is BBCODE check that then cut and past the code here. no need to use the img brackets. Bridge too far 2 by inetjoker, on Flickr

You are welcome as we may be old but we can figure things out. It just takes us a little longer than it used too.

And what kind of mushrooms were you eating Larry? I guess I can't go by the instructions as they are out of date since you changed/updated the forum. Thanks everyone for the info, but it was an image that I don't have hosted anywhere. Julia Roberts from "Closer" using a Rolliecord that I was going to add to the 'Moofies' post. Don't think I should have that on Flickr.

Greetings; In order to post images, you need only have the URL of the image. Then, using the forum's posting tools, locate the image button and paste the URL. For more specifics regarding the various posting tools, see the following: http://nelsonfoto.com/SMF/index.php?action=help;page=post#bbcrefAnd what kind of mushrooms were you eating Larry? Did I say Mushrooms? They were little things that were growing on the cactus... And thanks CE I knew that but I was not sure that you wanted that said as it may cause trouble because of copyright.

Thanks Craig and Larry for straightening me out. I'm just not used to doing things in such a convoluted fashion, but if it keeps the wackjobs off the site, then I'm all for it.

Nope. No such luck. Just what in blue blazes Craig am I doing wrong? Is it possible that I don't have my Flickr settings to where one can see my photos through a link? This is not the only site I am experiencing this.
