I shot this roll at E.I. 160 in Diafine to coax a little more shadow detail out of it.

This is some sharp and smooth film is all I can say.

Thanks CarlosE

The film seems to do most of the work. Smiley

Larry - are these from your Nikon N90 that you mentioned a couple of threads ago?  Looked at your Flickr and they are amazing shots.  Then went back in the threads a bit and saw the cannon!  Terrific.  From 35mm film?  did you get it from Freestyle?  Is this the name it goes under from most suppliers?

But the killer question:  how did you get such good scans???!  I am desperate to get good scans without going to the expense of a Coolscan, and I want to keep my options open for 120 scanning as there is a Rolleiflex in the cupboard ...

would appreciate your advice

These were with a Nikon F100. Same lens though from the N90 a Sigma 28-105. It goes under Rollei Retro 80s at Freestyle. Oh and yes 35mm but it is also sold in 120.

The scans are nothing I use an Epson V700 with the Epsonscan software and I adjust in Elements 5.0.  Only thing I can say is keep at it until you get what you want. The eye is the secret if it looks like what you had in mind then you did fine. I scan at 4800 then downsize. a little auto sharpen with downsize and that is what I get.

Thanks

Looks darn good Larry. I really do need to put an order in to freestyle, so many films, so little time.
