Just my IIIf, Summitar, Hippy Strap & me. Nice, William. Does that hood impinge lots on the viewfinder? James

"Impinge." Now there is a word I have not heard used in a long time. I will be glad after this contract is over to be able to be around people my own age.

What's my favorite camera? Easy... Leica M3. I like rangefinder cameras with nice lenses and good viewfinders... can't go wrong with the M3. Thanks Jim! However, it would be a close race with my coffee can Ikoflex... if I can ever get it running again...

If it has to be just one, I'd hang on tightly to the Iskra.

That hood is pretty good. It's actually for the Summicron but it fits well and doesn't block my view much at all. I only use it when I feel it's really needed though.
My FAL mug went to its great reward only days after that picture - my son, his elbow & it on the edge of the table... <splat!> Pity I can't find a hippy strap long enough to use as a sling - that would be an interesting sight in the Wisconsin woods.

That's easy, my Nikon FM2 is my absolute favourite camera to use. I've had it for about 13 years now and until just recently it's given me no trouble and always performed like a champ. Unfortunately, it's been ill for a few months now and is at Nikon right now having the shutter repaired. :-(

Me and my Contax. If I was smart, I'd never leave home without her. Edit: Oh yeah, why. Because everything about her is just what I need, and it feels like an extension of myself. And because I still haven't found a lens I like better than the old 21mm Biogon that's usually mounted. Also, it was my late dad's, and I've been shooting it since I could hold it. Not sure when that happened, but I do remember using it a age six

The Voightlander BL is one of my first junkstore purchases about 12 years ago, think I paid about 5 bucks for her. I don't use her enough but that will change---soon? The Rolleiflex I bought on the evil place, she was pretty nasty till Dean Williams gave her a new lease on life. -- Still havn't remembered what film I left in her, 160 maybe? And I will bet that you just can't have --'just one?' Some BL stuff from last week---- http://www.flickr.com/photos/tykeb/sets/72157624489818768/

The one camera that I never feel bad about using. Zeiss Ikon Tenax II with the uncoated f/2.0 40mm Sonnar. It gives square (24mm x 24mm) photos, which is great if you love the square format. It uses the famous Zeiss Ikon rotating wedge prisms, and it has a 1:1 viewfinder. It's compact and reliable.

Oooh, shiny... Someday that is one I'd like to get. Just one of those great Zeiss designs & I love the square too. Bet the squares would drive 'em nuts over at Walgreens William

When I sell off all of my "extra" cameras, this will be one of keepers. I have it loaded with some Rollei infrared film.

I've had so many favorites through the decades. Some are the exact models seen above, others are slight model variations. Rollei E3.5 Planar, Minolta CLE with 3 dedicated lenses, ZI Tenax, Minolta Autocord, Leica IIIf w/Summitar 50/2, Argus C-3, Oly OM-1, Dolly Super Sport (the very one Sandeha displayed.) But those are all long gone, along with two Nikon rf S2s, that I loved. Of my current harem of cameras, the favorite is a Voigtlander Bessa-R, which I bought from Mike Elek. The question is what can an 84 year old geezer do with a harem? Not much! Better give them their freedom now, or at least a pension.
