Interesting, thanks for the link.

I wonder if it's always been that way and the reason people notice now is that it's so easy to blow something up on a monitor and scrutinize it. And it's so easy to compare images with others who have the same camera/lens.

Kind of disheartening to think the end user has to verify the quality of the product they bought.

I hate to say this but though I don't take a loupe I will get right up to it then walk back.
