A photojournalist I met uses cheap padded diaper bags to carry his camera when he thinks that there might be "issues" where he wants to take photographs. The ones that look similar to the foldable drink cooler bags. Few people will think that a slightly stained diaper bag decorated with funny pink balloons or clowns or something will contain a Canon 1D or something similar instead of a stinky diaper and some wipes.

That Russar finder might be as valuable as the Minolta lens, eh? I don't think I've seen one of those before.

Jake,
I paid only $75 a year ago to a RFF member in the UK. He paid that much for the Russar 20mm finder. The finder is actually for the Russar 20mm lens, which I don't have or want.

And I have a 4 lens system for mine and 3 flashes and a dedicated camera a bag.... I play with toys of all kinds.. but I play well.
Larry,
Do you mean SLR lenses or RF lenses? Flash goes better with SLR.

From the sound of three flashes, I'd think SLR too. However, I do keep a nice old Vivitar 2800 in the bottom of my every day carry bag just in case - and it would be a bigger pain with my IIIf than with a SLR.

I have these six FSU cameras, and I placed some nice lenses on them. The last one (6) is a ZK with number 000029. It looks like new even though it comes from the 40's.

Nice Russian set and lenses, too. Those are good user's cameras, if well lubed, adjusted and cleaned. And the optics are often par for far more expensive equipment.

I agree with you Julio.

The J-3 is a copy of the CZJ 5cm 1.5 while the J-8 is a copy of the CZJ 5cm 2.0. The I-50 and I-61 are very sharp lenses.

Diaper bags are truly economical carrying cases.  I have "Winnie the Pooh."  Theft of a diaper bag seems to me to be rather less than a recognizable camera bag.  If you don't cotton to Winnie, I have an Eddie Bauer bag which is a much more masculine.  Both were very inexpensive, especially compared to the usual bag (of which I have several).  Also, my thinking is that if it is water-proof from the inside (diaper bag), it is probably equally water-proof from the outside.   Dave

Raid, the pictures of the FSU cameras with Barbie (or her dark haired friend) "posing" are just too funny!  I'd tell you that you need to get out more, but I think you get out and take pictures as much or more than anybody here.

Hi Nick,
I placed the cameras on the dining room table to photograph, and I noticed a mermaid doll on the table. I got an idea, and the rest is shown here. Then, my family went out, and I took photos of the sunset at the beaches. It just happened ...
