Hey I broke my old one and got a new one as I have fun with it. I used Expired Tri-X from 91. The stuff cupped and even after 3 days in a huge book it was still cupped So It scanned like hell but then I like the results.

Hey, I tried one out once. Amazingly un-bad results. Only one roll through the thing. I sent it to Carmack.  tongue

Hey not too bad- I like that headstone shot.

Never heard of the fake SLRs before. Very silly.

Rose, those cameras were one of the biggest rip offs in photographic history. To the unknowing they look like a fancy SLR and they started out with a price of 399.00. The names on them even closely resembled the real thing. They were nothing but a cheap piece of crap with a meniscus lens, one shutter speed and a couple of aperture settings. The potato masher flash was the only redeeming factor. Oh yah, it has a motor drive, too. Whoopee! These things gypped a lot of people, but not for long. You can buy one on the 'bay for 5 bucks. shocked

A few months ago, somebody was trying to sell one of these on craigslist for about $150.00!  Some smart consumer posted a rebuttal with links to several sites where they could be purchased for much less.

I had heard that the lenses on these were crap, but the results are much better than I expected. Nice work.

I bought  a faux Canon a couple years back,think that I gave about 12/15 dollars for it.
   I put a roll through it, not too bad of results.{consdering who was using it??}
 Just for the heck of it I tried the flash on a 'real' camera and it worked fine @ f:8 @ 60--X. Plus a new roll of Kodak film in the box!
   There is a Canon copy for sale now @ the Value Village for 19.99.   Flash included.
As usual it looks like 'NEW!.
   Naaaaaaaa rolleyes
