I've received some queries from new users regarding posting-restrictions on the forums. This is standard procedure for new users with few exceptions.
- New users are added to a usergroup which limits activity here at Nelsonfoto Forums
- Posting is enabled in the general forums, though all posts fall into my moderation queue for review
- The usergroup is restricted from viewing/posting to threads in the For Sale forum - the For Sale forum is a priviledge reserved for established members with a history of contributing to the general conversation and community
- Private-messaging is restricted to established members
- Viewing the members list is restricted to estaliblished members
- The above are subject to change as I deem necessary
Understand that due to my not being able to police this community 24/7 and due to past problems with SPAM and unsavory traders, the decision was made to restrict new users' access in order to protect the community from unscrupulous individuals.
