Your eye works well for you, Mike, no matter where you are or what tool you have in your hands. I love especially your sense of color, although I can't tell if you were working with or against the effects of time with that expired roll. Thanks for letting us see your new home in your inimitable style!

Nice to see you back with such a good run of photos, Mike. Impressive use of the focal length and color.

Hi, and thanks. I've had a lot of fun with these little plastic cameras, and looking back at some previous postings, I'm surprised at how many pictures I've made with them over the past few years. The Ultra Wide & Slim is the only one I've got at the moment; gave away the rest when we moved. I've mostly shot 100-speed color in them up to now, but think I may try some P3200 as I have quite a bit of it courtesy of a friend who has gone digital.

Nice introduction to your neighbourhood Mike, I like the second and third shots the best. Great to see some new stuff from you posted here. I'll take up the challenge and do a walk down my road with the Vivitar W&S when mine turns up in the mail.

Beautiful pictures, Mike, with your usual excellent eye for color and composition. A bit of wide plastic now and then is fantastic.
You even managed to get a whole Cadillac into such a small camera!

Connealy,
So happy to see you're back again showing your top notch work, Mike. Ive always been impressed with the consistent high quality of your work: for its subjects, composition, color, impact and in many cases refreshing calmness.
I'm ashamed to say I never used either of the two Konica Super wide (Wai Wai) cameras with a 17mm lens which were given to me by Nelsonfoto member.Paul S. Even worse, I gave them away.
Why? Maybe I'm gun shy to shoot with super wide-angle lenses. However, I sure enjoy seeing super wide angle photos, when they are done well by others.

Great images! Lovely little cameras but I won't post the images of my fingers! Must remember to hold the thing on its edges.

Mike - great to see your photos back up here on Nelsonfoto. But hearing that you only have one camera is kind of confusing. One camera? What does that mean? How is that possible? One? I find it difficult to understand that number, really, when one (ach!) is discussing cameras. Hmm. We might have to stage an intervention here and send you some extras - some non-ones. Some twos and threes. Just to make sure things stay balanced and understandable. I don't have a wide & slim, but I do have a 15mm lens. Here's one of those.

...Lovely little cameras but I won't post the images of my fingers! Must remember to hold the thing on its edges. All of my images were cropped a bit, mostly to delete my feet from the bottom. The next roll should be closer to full-frame now that I've figured out the necessary parallax correction.

... But hearing that you only have one camera is kind of confusing. One camera? What does that mean? How is that possible? One? I find it difficult to understand that number, really, when one (ach!) is discussing cameras. I put all the cheap cameras I hadn't been using in a bag and dropped it off at the Las Cruces Goodwill. Thought it would be fun for someone to discover them there. Now that we're settled in here, I'll no doubt pick up a few more of the plastic p&s. I'm not seeing the boxes full of them here, though, that I did further south. Also not finding much cheap color film around Albuquerque yet. Looks like we are in for a return of winter here, so I may spend the next couple days pulling together some of my old p&s stuff to put into some web pages.

Mike,
Let me add my voice to those welcoming you back. Your neighborhood walk is inspiring, particularly to those of us living in winter's gloom. I particularly like the second and third shots the best, but the color is superb throughout.

Welcome back.
Great use of the wide angle, and great use of form and colour.
