Now that I got the Mamiya RB67 & the C220 I got from Griz a week ago, I'm wondering how I can use electronic flash with these beasts? Can I shoot at 1/60 or 1/125 as if I was shooting with a 35mm SLR?

Digital is good for computers & telephones, NOT for photography & music. Digital is Pixelography (Nothing wrong with that).

Yer in luck! Leaf shutters will sync with electronic flash at any speed. Some do have a setting for flash bulbs, however. It would be labled "M". If it has it, don't use that with electronic flash. Be sure to always use the "X" setting.

To elaborate a little, if (for whatever reason) you *are* using actual magnesium-filled flashbulbs with a leaf shutter that has only X synch (or is unmarked and made after about 1955, maybe earlier), you need to shoot at 1/30 or slower to avoid cutting off most of the flash. Shoot at 1/125 with a bulb on X, and you'll get a guide number about 1/10 what it would be at 1/30. Even 1/30 trims a little off the tail, though not enough to make much difference; 1/25 is long enough to get more than 95% of the light even on X.

Set your lenses to X (if it has an M/X switch) and blast away at any shutter speed you like.
PS I assume that you have a PC cord

@ Mike, the Sunpak 522 is a potato-masher type, and only works with PC cords.
@ Craig, I haven't used my 522 with my TLR, but I have used it with my Speed Graphics (lens shutter, not rear shutter), and it works just fine at any shutter speed.

I have used my Sunpak with my c220 for years and its a great set up. Plus you can always drive nails with rig if you need to.
My first post here. Look fwd to future interaction.

Good posts with good information. Switching back and forth from focal plane shutters( 35mm) and leaf shutter (medium format) cameras always caused some problems for me. I still have a tendency to under-expose when using a electronic flash on a leaf shutter.
