Is this a new thread? I recommend heartily Camera Wiz in Harrisonburg, VA. They are the classic Bronica masters, as well as having the best prices on Fuji GS645 bellows repairs. Very informal but professional work. 169B Pleasant Hill Rd. Harrisonburg VA 22801 camerawiz@msn.com800.471.8133 Also, Nippon Photo Clinic. They do Japanese-made cameras, but most of the guys working there are old Nikon repair specialists. Send them your Nikon F for great service. They also do a ton of other cameras, including Widelux. http://members.aol.com/nipponpc/

If you have a pre-digital Pentax to be worked on, I highly recommend Eric in Kentucky, whose last name escapes me but who can be contacted at pentaxrepairs@aol.com. He went through my Spotmatic a couple years ago, even repairing the meter by replacing the long-discontinued CdS cells with those made for a 67, modified to fit the older, smaller camera. His price was very reasonable, he stood behind the repair when something failed shortly after (quite possibly unrepaired to the work he did) -- the only other thing one could ask is to be local, and these days that's a tall order.

Panorama Camera in New York City does its work on-site and it's happy to look at classic cameras. That said, I've tried them for two repairs now, and... neither has been successful. That said, they refunded my money fully both times.

I thought I heard he was retiring from camera repair - can't find any confirmation though at the moment.

For Pentax SLRs, Eric Henrickson (sp?) is the guy -- pentaxs.com. Very reasonable. He fixed a difficult problem with my ESII. Also, Karl Bryan is a specialist in Minolta Autocords who does great work. He also works on Barnack Leicas and screw mount Canon RFs. Reach him at karl.kathy@verizon.net. For Minolta SLRs, John Titterington is great: JTCamera@aol.com

I am not good with any repair job. Is there an easy fix to get the lens to close down the aperture? It stays wide open.
Do I need some lighter fluid?
Thanks.
